BKA Spring Weekend 2024

Fulham Cross Girls' School

Come and find out why Kodály inspired music education is so popular and so successful all over the world. With singing at the heart of this progressive and child-friendly approach it is accessible to all. The main focus of this spring course is EDUCATION – our team of highly experienced expert tutors will guide you through the sequential, step-by-step approach to Kodály inspired music education, giving you a wealth of ideas to take back and immediately use in your teaching.

You might also be interested in the BKA Foundation Certificate or Conducting Level 1, a module of our full Certificate, which can be completed during the Spring Course. Please note that choosing to complete one of these modules will fill sessions 1-5, and there will be some pre-course preparation work required for both the Foundation Certificate and Conducting 1.

Mornings are dedicated to musicianship, designed to help you improve your own knowledge and skills.

Afternoons focus on methodology, including our Foundation Course and Conducting, plus how to teach in a Kodály inspired way.

Evening sessions bring everyone together for singing. Plenty of time to try out those games you've learned, increase your repertoire, and of course- just have fun together!
