Training And Resources In Person Courses Summer School 2024 Summer School 2024 The 40th International Kodály Summer School Monday 12th August – Saturday 17th August 2024 at Keele University Book Now We are really looking forward to our 40th Summer School in Keele. The 2024 Summer School will include Daily Musicianship classes, Choir and Methodology for everyone. Afternoon sessions will include Choral Conducting, Singing Games, Early Years, Primary and Secondary teaching topics, exploring using Diverse Repertoire in teaching, and journeys into the folk songs collected by Maud Karpeles. Evening events will include An Evening of Musicals with Allan Hubert-Wright, Singing Games for all to join in, plus social events including a quiz and a ceilidh. We are delighted to welcome Guest Tutors Dr. Árpád Tóth (Hungary), James Cuskelly OAM (Australia) Orsolya Szabó (Hungary) and Allan Hubert-Wright (France) With members of our experienced UK tutor team Lucinda Geoghegan, Lynne Clark, Ben Lawrence, Emma Ede, Angela Fogg, Nicky Woods, Alan Murdock and Chris Andrews. Optional one-to-one Singing Lessons/Vocal Coaching with Allan Hubert-Wright and Piano coaching with Orsolya Szabó will also be available at extra cost. For those with little or no formal training or who are completely new to the Kodály approach to music education, the Kodály Certificate Foundation Level (CPD Certified) can be completed during the week. We are also offering our Early Years 2, Primary 3 and Secondary 3 Certificate Courses. Delegates who wish to complete these levels will be able to do so during the week, following a different timetable to other Delegates, which will conclude on Sunday 18th August.
